As of this past Saturday, I'm out.
Out of college.
Out into the real world.
Still out of a job.
Why?
BECAUSE I GRADUATED WITH A BACHELORS OF FINE ART! F* YEAH!!!!
Four years. Three of which were spent in 'the dungeon', aka Mac Lab 3. No windows, in the winter your hands would get numb from the cold, and in the spring you would have to be ready for the power to go out should a storm knock out the power (plenty of rain in Memphis in the spring. Hell, the river just flooded to a record high this last week!). But all that doesn't matter anymore. Because I'm out. Over and done. Not going to grad school, cause I'd have a mental breakdown from two more years of school at this point. Gah.
And now for less moaning.
I have time to work on art and writing! Hells yeah! As I job hunt over the next few months I'm going to do my best to get more art out. This also means that if you want an iArt piece I can do it for you cause I have the time. Also, for all you convention goers out there, if you live anywhere near the Memphis Area (and by near I mean w/in 4 hours driving or so) there's going to be an anime convention in Memphis this July. That's right. An Anime con. In Memphis. Tennessee. It's gonna be boss, especially because I'm the head of Gaming, and
is the head of the Adult Track.
It's July 8th through the 10th, and it's only $25 to pre-register (until June 14th, which it then becomes $40 at the door) and the hotel is offering $89 a night for a room. For more info on who's coming feel free to check out
www.animeblues.com/ for more details. Now I know this is a little last minute, but this is the first real chance I've gotten to sit down and be on this site for more than 2 minutes, and for that I apologize. But heed this, this is our first year. If we don't get enough people it will be our last as well, and there will not be another anime convention in the Mid-South area, probably for another decade or two. Sorry to sound so crushing, but that's how it is.
